It takes courage to be fearless

I can now call myself a certified practitioner in the Fearless Organization Scan

One of the themes I worked on at Microsoft Western Europe was our culture, more specifically around creating Psychological Safety in the workplace for learning, innovation, and growth. It was a true pleasure to work with the people at Caerus Change as they helped me to better understand the concept, the business imperative and the method behind the book written by Harvard Professor Amy Edmondson. It may come as no surprise that when looking into personal development and learning myself that I turned to the theme of fearless organizations. I truly enjoyed the collaboration in the peer group learning environment, meeting professionals across the world. This week I graduated, and I may now call myself a certified professional in the Fearless Organization methodology and the Psychological Safety Index.

Part of the certification process was to do the entire process with an organization of my choosing. I am so so very grateful that I have been given the opportunity to finish this certification process at BOL, the largest Dutch online retailer.

I am grateful for the new qualifications and learnings that this course has provided me with as a leader as well as a practitioner supporting other teams. In the end, it is truly a privilege to witness teams having that candid conversation on how they can grow as high-performance teams with clear accountability and a fearless mindset to opt in on the conversation to share those crazy ideas, diverse opinions, new insights and questions that no one dares to ask.
